Membrane Bio-Reactor

STP Sri Hartamas is Malaysia’s first sewerage treatment plant using advanced Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) technology. Located in Kuala Lumpur, the project is designed to efficiently treat municipal wastewater while minimizing environmental impact.

A Membrane Biological Reactor (MBR) sewage treatment plant (STP) is an advanced system that treats wastewater by combining biological degradation with membrane filtration. Sewage is first screened, then broken down by microorganisms in an aerated bioreactor, and finally filtered through micro- or ultrafiltration membranes to produce high-quality effluent suitable for reuse or discharge.
